Million Penny Project
The Million Penny Project™ was a fundraiser initiative that invited the community and local business’s to collectively donate their financial and professional resources for a cause. The goal is always the same, to raise one million pennies ($10,000) for every participating charity demonstrating the ability to provide relief.
The fundraising strategy primarily focuses on raising funds and building awareness for these charities. In order to track and reach our goal, all donations to the charities / agencies were processed through the website and supplemented through merchandise sales such as t-shirts, posters, tote bags, buttons and mugs. All proceeds from the sale of the merchandise and donations was donated to the participating charities.
We’ve partnered with Community Partnership for Homeless and Camillus House, leading organizations focused on providing relief and solutions to homelessness, with all proceeds from contributions and the sale of merchandise from the campaign benefiting these organizations.
All donations help to provide food, clothing, shelter, health care services, educational and vocational opportunities, child care and after-school care, job coaching, training, and placement, and other supportive services though our various partner charity organizations.
